The Biennale features over 350 works by authors from across the Balkan region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its founding, the goal of the Balkan Architecture Biennale has been to bring together and connect prominent authors from related fields of urbanism, architecture, and design from various, yet regionally connected, areas. The purpose of this international event is to showcase and promote examples of good practice while also sparking discussions on key topics of interest to both the industry and the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme of the 5th BAB 21 is <em>&#8220;Iconic Nomad in the Global Village&#8221;<\/em>. The host country is the Republic of Croatia. The selection of works, authors, and lecturers from Croatia was curated by commissioner Prof. Sa\u0161a Begovi\u0107 (3LHD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Works from other countries were selected by commissioners Sonja Radovi\u0107 Jelovac (Montenegro), Igor Kuva\u010d (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Mihajlo Zinoski (North Macedonia), Florian Nepravishta (Albania), Ileana Tureanu (Romania), and Ana Kre\u010d (Slovenia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Balkan&#8221; cinema once again served as the home for Balkan architects and designers, who showcased their work across five categories: architecture, urbanism, unrealized projects, interior design, and furniture design. As part of this year\u2019s BAB exhibition, works from the International Architectural Competition <em>ArXellence 2<\/em> were also displayed. Along with Sa\u0161a Begovi\u0107, the Croatian commissioner, speeches were delivered by Marko Stoj\u010di\u0107, Belgrade\u2019s Chief Urban Planner, the national selection commissioners, and representatives of the event organizers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 2 (December 9):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>International Conference (from 10 AM to 5 PM,
