September 25 – October 10, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From September 25 to October 10, the doors of the “Balkan” cinema served as a gateway to the “Other World,” an exhibition that brought together twelve artists inspired by technology and the profound questions about humanity’s place in the virtual realm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially named the Art&Science Weekend, inspired by the work of Nikola Tesla and planned for July 10, Science Day and Tesla’s birthday, the exhibition was postponed due to safety concerns. Since then, the exhibition began to take on a new shape. Over time, it started exploring the space between the real and the virtual, merging technology with artistic expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The works in the exhibition represent the artists’ search for an expression that draws inspiration from science and technology, the fragmentation of human experience under the influence of technology, the creativity behind scientific discoveries, and the limitations of artificial intelligence. Where does humanity end and technology begin? Is it possible to draw a line?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is an undeniable fact that technological development has heralded the possibility of a completely new, alternate world. This very world is prophetically announced through this exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing of the exhibition was marked by a performance by Miroslav Mi\u0161a Savi\u0107, who symbolically expressed the fusion of contemporary human life and technology through the sounds of lightning, brain waves, and thunder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
