The Belgrade chamber ensemble “Metamorfozis” marked the beginning of its fifteenth jubilee season with a special concert at the “Balkan” cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2005 at the initiative of violist and artistic director Sa\u0161a Mirkovi\u0107, the ensemble has been dedicated to performing boundary-pushing genres of art music since its inception, including new music, world music, as well as well-known works from the Western European musical tradition “in new attire”\u2014in different, new arrangements and stage settings that represent a unique response to the contemporary moment, audience tastes, and global music performance practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, September 30, “Metamorfozis” filled the “Balkan” cinema with the melodies of Ludwig van Beethoven’s timeless compositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
