On Monday, July 10th, the DIPLOMA 2023 exhibition, featuring the graduate works of 4th-year students from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, was officially opened at Bioskop Balkan.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, Prof. Goran Čpajak, who expressed his gratitude to the Saša Marčeta Foundation for collaborating on the exhibition.
“This is the first time we’re exhibiting in such an impressive and fascinating space, with its rich historical background. It’s a great opportunity for young, creative minds to express themselves,” Čpajak emphasized. He also thanked the Museum of Science and Technology for their support and assistance in organizing the exhibition, as well as donors Slavko Andrejević and Anika Andrejević Dokić, and the family of painter Miodrag Mića Mihailović from Novi Sad, who generously donated a significant amount of canvases, materials, and paints for the painting students this year.
Following the opening speech, the best students of the 2022/2023 academic year were awarded: Bojana Zavišin, Dana Vukajlović, Vanja Brajović, Milica Đurić, Lana Petrić, Tara Ilić, Anja Kostić, Aleksandra Pavlović, Nemanja Jojić, Bojan Zavišin, Aleksandar Simonović, Katarina Gajović, Damjan Božović, Ivana Milanov, Đorđe Stojković, Anja Rakonjac, Isidora Petrović, Margareta Marinković, Aleksandra Škundrić, Aleksa Avramović, Kaja Đoković, Alicija Nadal Žuljević, Milica Bogdanović, Tijana Zurković, Aleksandra Davinić, Angelina Krstić, and Iva Prvulović. Special recognition was given to first and second-year students Jovana Zebić, Ivana Jevtić, Jovana Vasić, Tea Radetić, and Tijana Ivanović.
In the year marking the 75th anniversary of the Faculty, the exhibition showcases over 200 works in applied painting, scenography, graphics, applied sculpture, animation, illustration, photography, conservation and restoration, stage costume design, contemporary fashion, industrial design, interior architecture and furniture design, ceramics, textiles, typography, book design, and graphic design.
The exhibition’s curator is Dr. Tijana Kojić, an associate professor at FPU, while the architects of the exhibition are associate professors Mirjana Milakić and Mladen Vračević. The exhibition is supported by the Saša Marčeta Foundation.
The exhibition will be open to visitors daily from July 10th to 24th, from 12 PM to 8 PM.
