In the Balkan Cinema on Saturday, July 20 from 19:00, a panel discussion BAB – Previous experiences, announcement and prelude to the Balkan Architecture Biennale was held, in cooperation with the Saš Marchet Foundation, Balkan Cinema and BAB (Balkan Architecture Biennale).
The topics of the panel discussion are urban planning, architecture, interior design and furniture. The participants are award-winning authors from the past two BABs, who will present their latest projects and say something more about this regional event.
Balkan cinema
The Balkan Cinema building was protected as a cultural asset – a cultural monument in 1984, when its purpose was also protected. It is currently in the process of reconstruction. The team of architects leading the reconstruction project consists of Dr. Dijana Adžemović Anđelković, Dr. Vladimir Anđelković and Aleksandar Bogojević.
The reason for holding the event at the Balkan Cinema is the Balkan 2020 project, which envisages one of the most modern multi-purpose spaces in Belgrade, which with its conceptual solution has kept the spirit of the former building and raised the organization of cultural and artistic events to a higher level, thus positioning the Balkan Cinema to the level of a cultural institution.
