Samuel Herzog (*1966)

Samuel Herzog – Biography

Samuel Herzog maintained an independent studio with a kitchen in Basel, published various micro-magazines, ran a small publishing house, explored the Bronze Age as an excavation technician, and traveled across Europe in sleeping cars for many years, including trips through the former Yugoslavia. He studied art history and worked as an art critic and editor for various media outlets.

Samuel Herzog invented the island of Lemusa and its ever-evolving universe, which develops day and night. With his company HOIO, he imports spices from the entire island, cooks, and enjoys this passion while dedicating himself to artistic and literary projects.

At Bioskop Balkan, Samuel Herzog will set up a counter representing the embassy of Lemusa in the main space, where you can receive a visa from him as both the artist and president of the island.
